Rahmi M. Koç Academy of Interventional Medicine, Education, and Simulation (RMK AIMES) is equipped with contemporary infrastructure and technology as well as advanced learning techniques all of which optimize the standard of services provided by our outstanding health care professionals.
The “Advanced Interventional and Surgical Training Center” that opened on the ground floor of our complex are located within a 255 square meter operational area with a special ventilation system. Our center offers a unique hands-on educational experience when it comes to living tissue and anatomical specimens (animals and cadavers) with 9 surgical stations ( 8 trainees and 1 supervisor) each one complete with high-tech medical equipment (such as surgical lights, gas systems, high- resolution laparoscopic towers and surgical tools).
The stations, which have state-of-the-art imaging systems, also employ cutting edge equipment to record and transfer images from the master station and to display each selected image on both the master and trainee stations monitors.
During the surgical procedures performed at the “Advanced Interventional and Surgical Training Center”, simultaneous translation, voice recording, and voice transfer are applied perfectly. In addition, live connections can be established throughout the center including the seminar rooms (with audio/sound + video).
